This design  CD 2607  from Ceccarelli Yacht Design is the first design of
this office for the smallest class of the series of the GP. The boat
is actually in construction in Russia for the yard  NP 40 to be produced in
series. The deliver of the first boat will be June it will be build female plug to
build it in series  with a very interesting price  of Euro 45.000 complete. The
yard has experience in this type of construction as they already built
other boats like Farr 42, IMS 600 and S 25.

Giovanni Ceccarelli says: "I think  and I hope that the smallest class of the
GPs could have the same success that years ago had the Quarter Ton
Class in the IOR, a class where my design won few world championship at
the time. The possibility to race in  real time without any allowance is
amazing for the crew, and also for the designer who is working and thinking
only to do the fastest boat without any investigation in the loop of the rule 
like was in the IMS, is really interesting and amazing.

The design  CYD 2607 of the Gp 26  is an all round  boat, designed
according to the actual GP 26 class, and it is the son of the research did
 with the CFD for the appendages of the IACC boats and the recent study
for the GP 42 that I have in construction in Italy.

The bulb is a long torpedo of lead cnc machined  designed with an
extensive research with cfd  to minimize the drag . The construction of the
Gp 26 is in epoxy from SPS Technology and all in E glass unidirectional
and biaxial  clothes with core of PVC Corecell with variable density and
thickness.

The fin  is build in CNC in steel welded and cnc machined  to obtain a
perfect shape, the rudder in carbon fibre from female plug in aluminium."
